Hear My cry
Things of God by Emily Ulman
Things of God, What Scripture Reveals Our Spirit Experiences During Our Dying shares the results of much time spent in God’s Word. I’m now on a quest that, though I would never have chosen it, I can’t not continue. My quest is to get this book into the hands so many struggling with their end of life coming sooner than expected, and those struggling with loss. I find it a comfort and a powerful tool; one I think Christ has big plans to use to impact His Kingdom for His glory.
Hear My Cry
The Prophet am not I
Nor Messiah nor Elijah
But as said Isaiah
The way of the Lord before
I make straight His way
Hear my wilderness cry!
Hope He gives
Heed this, my witness and live.
It is with water I baptize
But there is He
Coming after me
Whose sandal
I am unworthy even to untie
O hear my cry!
Hope He gives
Heed this, my witness and live.
The One you do not know
Among you He stands
This Man, the sacrificial Lamb
With God’s Spirit Holy
Does He baptize fully
O hear my cry!
Hope He gives
Heed this, my witness and live.
Come, witness the Son
The I Am, the Christ
The Annointed One
Who takes away the world’s sin
And instead, hope He gives
O hear my cry!
Hope He does give
Heed this, my witness and live.
(Inspired by John 1:20-34)
