Things of God Spoken Word Poetry
His Offer
Things of God by Emily Ulman
Things of God, What Scripture Reveals Our Spirit Experiences During Our Dying shares the results of much time spent in God’s Word. I’m now on a quest that, though I would never have chosen it, I can’t not continue. My quest is to get this book into the hands so many struggling with their end of life coming sooner than expected, and those struggling with loss. I find it a comfort and a powerful tool; one I think Christ has big plans to use to impact His Kingdom for His glory.
The sins of this race, human, Himself He took upon
Infinitely profound, His salvation declaration
The seal of condemnation has set in me, unfree
When in my realization of His great sacrifice to deliver me
I give only my shortsighted refusal
But God unfathomable gives life eternal
Offered through Jesus Christ the Son beloved
That we may from this strife choose life
In He who as Light into this dark world entered
Centered, we preferred darkness over Him
Recognize the starkness, inferred, vast
The awful contrast
Of the mired life we instead have chosen
Anguish to flounder around in
Versus all He offers us
When the reason He created us
Remember
Is to worship and glorify Him, forever
By faith to choose Him, our Shelter
Too late is it never
Until that last breath escapes
When all things right He makes
By His blood we are made worthy
Forgiveness He offers and pardon completely, amazingly
